"We don't get wounded alone and we don't heal alone." - Carl Jung

How are you feeling?

Life is troubling at times and can feel overwhelming. You may be struggling to cope, feel lost or even unrecognisable. Like many others, you may be unsure of what you’re feeling or even how to cope, leaving you sad, confused, frustrated, and even afraid. This might leave you struggling with the challenges of everyday life and in your relationships, and now is the time to reach out for support.

Hi, I'm Jamie...

Do you feel isolated, rejected, hurt, or sad? Are you from a marginalised community or feel that you don’t fit in? Counselling can help by providing a safe and calm space to talk, and I will support you as you explore the thoughts and emotions that feel challenging.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand what it’s like to feel different from ‘normal’ and work with clients empathetically and non-judgmentally, believing that our differences are what make us all unique and beautiful.

I'm passionate about helping people heal from their childhood traumas, increasing self-confidence, and strengthening the relationships you have with yourself and with others. I work well with people who aim to be kinder to themselves and are curious about healthier boundaries.

I'm dedicated and experienced in providing support to individuals from marginalised populations and those affected by loss. Through self-compassion and self-nurturing, I aim to enhance self-worth and self-acceptance while enabling others to experience less fear and anxiety about painful emotions.

Having someone next to you on your healing journey is so important—it helps you feel less isolated and alone. I deeply care about the well-being of everyone I work with. I have met people from all walks of life; everyone is welcome.

What is an Integrative therapist?

As an integrated therapist, I believe that there isn't just one therapy strategy that can benefit a client in every circumstance. Instead, I consider you as a unique individual and your circumstances, using aspects of several approaches to support you in your exploration and problem-solving.

The person-centred approach is at the core of my work, offering empathy, understanding, and acceptance. I also integrate psychodynamic and transactional analysis theories into my practice by acknowledging the importance of the past and patterns of feeling, thinking, and behaviour in the present moment.

As your therapist, I want to help you along the way and at every stage of the therapeutic process. We will come up with solutions that work for you collectively by providing you with compassion, empathy, honesty, and non-judgment. I believe you are the expert in your life and that you deserve a space to find those answers.
