How are you feeling?
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You might be struggling to cope, feeling lost, sad, anxious, or unsure about your emotions. These experiences are normal, and you don’t have to face them alone.
I provide a safe, calm, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or challenges in your relationships, counselling can help you feel seen, understood, and supported.
Together, we can work on understanding what you’re going through and finding ways to navigate life’s difficulties with greater clarity and resilience. Now is the right time to reach out and take that first step towards support and understanding—you don’t have to wait.
About Me...
Hi, I’m Jamie. I’m a BSc (Hons) accredited therapist and part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I understand what it’s like to feel different from what society calls “normal,” and I believe our differences are what make us unique and beautiful. I work from a place of acceptance, empathy, and respect, creating a space where you can feel completely safe being yourself.
My own life experiences have shown me the value of having a secure, supportive space to process traumatic life events and unmanageable feelings. That’s why I feel honoured to help and support my clients as they navigate their own challenges.
I offer support for people who want to explore difficult emotions—anxiety, sadness, or grief—understand past experiences or trauma, build self-confidence and self-compassion, improve relationships, set healthy boundaries, or explore questions around gender, sexuality, and identity.
I care deeply about the well-being of everyone I work with and welcome people from all walks of life. I aim to provide a calm, non-judgemental space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work together towards clarity, resilience, and self-acceptance.
About Counselling...
Counselling helps you understand yourself, process emotions, and feel less alone. I work integratively, combining person-centred, psychodynamic, and transactional analysis approaches to suit your unique needs.
I can support you with:
- Understanding difficult and uncomfortable emotions
- Exploring and gaining closure
- Creating, maintaining, and understanding your relationships
- Support for anxiety, depression, grief, and challenges that you are experiencing
- Gender and sexuality
- Self-confidence, self-worth, and self-acceptance
- Helping you build healthy boundaries and self-care
So What Happens Next?
Starting counselling can feel like a big step. I aim to help you feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout the process.
1. Get in touch
Contact me to check availability for a first session, or request a 15-minute introduction to see if we’re a good fit, or to ask any questions.
2. Practical details
If you’d like to go ahead, I’ll email the necessary paperwork and assessment form, along with either a Microsoft Teams link for online sessions or confirmation details for face-to-face sessions in Manchester City Centre.
3. Your first session
We’ll cover confidentiality, boundaries, and the counselling contract, and begin exploring what has brought you to counselling and what you’d like to work towards.
If it feels right, we can book further sessions. There is no obligation to continue—it’s important you feel safe and comfortable choosing the right therapist.
